Thanks to the popularity of our program and expansion in the number of players, Malden U6/U9 Soccer is splitting into U5/U7/U9.

Final Week - June 7 + Change to the Banquet Date

Welcome to the last week of soccer. 

Please take note that the date of the U6 Banquet has changed to Wednesday June 18.  The time is still 5:30 and the place is still Anthony's of Malden.

Each player gets a complimentary ticket.  Additional tickets are available for purchase:

• Adults:  $12 pre-purchased ($15 at the door)
• Siblings:  $10 pre-purchased ($12 at the door)

Tickets will be available for purchase tomorrow at the field.

May 31 Picture Schedule

Picture day is May 31.   If this day is rained out, pictures will be the following week.  The schedule for pictures is listed below.  The times are to designed to minimize the impact on soccer time, so please be careful to note what time your team's pictures are incase you need to be at the field early.

You can pick up picture forms at the game this weekend.

Be sure to be at the picture area at the field 10 minutes prior to your scheduled shoot.

May 24 - Making up for our Rain Days

This week is our makeup day for the rainout days we have had.

We use a special format for this memorial day weekend:

• All teams will play at 8:30 to 10:00
• There will be jersey colors on each of the 2 main field
• Each field will have 4 games running at the same time. We will divide the as equally as we can
• Teams will switch to play a different team every 30 minutes

Here are the main field assignments.  Individual teams will be organized at the field based on attendance.  Individual players may move to different fields if we need to balance the player numbers on each field

June 18 Banquet needs Volunteers

The U6 Banquet will be Wednesday, June 18 at 5:30 at Anthony's of Malden.  More information about this will be coming soon.

I am looking for 2 volunteers to help plan and organize the event.  Please let me know if you are able to contribute some time.

May 24 Rain Day Makeup

This Saturday will be a makeup day for our rain cancellations.  It is Memorial Day weekend.  I expect a light turnout, and we will have a special format.  All games will be at the early session, 8:30.  Field assignments will be posted the night prior to game day.

May 17 is rained out.

We will have a make up day next weekend May 24.  It was originally planned to be a day off.

Be sure to save the dates I mentioned in my blog post last night.

Week 7 - May 17 + some events

We are expecting rain, so check back on the morning of the game.   If we are rained out, we will have a makeup day on the Saturday during Memorial Day weekend, 5/24.

Please take down some important dates

1. There is no game on 5/24 of Memorial Day weekend ----   UNLESS it is a makeup game due to a rain day this week.
2. Picture day is May 31.  See the schedule below.  Be sure to pick up the form during the game this week.  Somebody on your team should be handing them out.
3. The banquet will be Monday, June 16 at 5:30 at Anthony's of Malden
